On 9th June 2025, two District Resource Centres (DRCs) in Delhi—M.B. Road, Pushp Vihar (District South) and Government Co-Ed Senior Secondary School (District South West A)—hosted a delegation from the Department of School Education & Literacy (DoSEL) along with Inclusive Education (IE) representatives from various States and Union Territories. At the District South West Resource Centre, an insightful briefing on the various roles of the Inclusive Education Branch in policy formulation and resource facilitation was shared, followed by a comprehensive presentation on inclusive interventions and innovative practices being implemented at the centre. The Centre showcased a detailed overview of the functioning, therapy sessions, and assessment processes for Children with Special Needs (CwSN). The delegation visited various therapy and learning spaces across both centres, including rooms for speech therapy, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, counselling, sensory integration, AV learning and sensory parks. Interactive sessions with parents were also held, during which some shared their personal experiences and expressed appreciation for the inclusive initiatives. The visit provided an opportunity to observe the inclusive education framework in Delhi and gain insights into replicable best practices. The initiative aligns with the vision of #NEP2020, which emphasises equitable and inclusive education for all, especially children with special needs. #NEP2020SuccessStories #SchoolEducation #Education4All #HolisticEducation #DoSEL #SchoolEducation #InclusiveEducation
