🎾 𝐋𝐄𝐓𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐀 𝐀𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐓𝐀 𝐀𝐋 𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐈𝐃𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐄 𝐃𝐄𝐋 𝐂𝐎𝐃𝐀𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐒, 𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐋𝐎 𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐙𝐈 Egregio Presidente, la sua richiesta di revocare le onorificenze a 𝐉𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐤 𝐒𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫 è un atto tanto grottesco quanto offensivo. Offensivo non solo per il diretto interessato, ma per 𝐥’𝐈𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐚 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐚. Per quell’Italia seria, onesta, laboriosa, che si riconosce nei valori veri dello sport: il sacrificio, la disciplina, il rispetto. Lei parla di “schiaffo al Paese”? Lo schiaffo lo ha dato lei, Presidente, a milioni di italiani che da anni vedono in Sinner l’esempio più limpido di professionalità e orgoglio nazionale. Perché se c’è un atleta che ha già dimostrato attaccamento alla maglia azzurra, quello è 𝐉𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐤 𝐒𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫. L’ha dimostrato trascinando l’Italia a vincere 𝐝𝐮𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞, riportando nel nostro Paese un trofeo che mancava da quasi mezzo secolo. L’ha dimostrato scegliendo la Nazionale al posto di tornei milionari, accettando di giocare quando era stremato, e onorando il tricolore senza mai una parola fuori posto. E oggi lei osa dire che rappresenta “uno schiaffo all’Italia”? La 𝐂𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐚 𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐧 𝐞̀ 𝐮𝐧 𝐨𝐛𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐨, Presidente. È un onore, sì, ma anche una scelta. E un professionista serio — uno che si prepara, che gestisce il proprio fisico e la propria carriera — ha tutto il diritto di decidere quando e come dare il massimo per il proprio Paese. Non esiste obbligo di sacrificio, ma solo libertà e responsabilità. Quello che invece è un insulto è la sua lettera, un documento che odora di populismo e ignoranza sportiva. Un testo che getta fango su un campione vero, solo per finire in qualche titolo di giornale. Un gesto piccolo, meschino, indegno di un’istituzione che dovrebbe difendere i cittadini, non deridere i loro simboli migliori. La coerenza, Presidente, non è chiedere la revoca di una medaglia. La coerenza è 𝐬𝐚𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐨 𝐬𝐢 𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐚 𝐝𝐢 𝐝𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐢. Perché Sinner non deve restituire nulla: ha già dato, e ha dato tanto — a noi, all’Italia, e a uno sport che grazie a lui è tornato ad emozionare un intero Paese. È l’Italia che deve dire grazie. Per l’esempio, per la serietà, per la compostezza, per quel modo educato e silenzioso di rappresentarci nel mondo. Jannik Sinner è l’Italia migliore: quella che non urla, che lavora, che vince senza vantarsene. Lei, Presidente, con questa uscita, ha scelto di rappresentare invece 𝐥’𝐈𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐚 𝐩𝐞𝐠𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐫𝐞: quella che scredita, che divide, che distrugge ciò che non capisce. Si vergogni. Non di Sinner, ma di ciò che oggi ha dimostrato di essere. Con fermezza, indignazione e rispetto per la verità, 𝑫𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒆𝒍𝒆 𝑴𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒂
