@FawnsRevenge What it really bugs me tho… in almost every life is Strange (except maybe true colors) the Queer option for romance it’s always the morally ambiguous one or idk if it’s just me
English

@FawnsRevenge Honestly i think it’s an attempt to strip the stigma out of the word and also checks with the characters story as he was raised, even after he left, he was still avoidant to the fact of calling himself gay, specially being at that moment in that Spaces again

@gianthobbit Life Is Strange 2 is a great sequel. It built on everything the first one did and then some. It had more endings, had a hidden choice based system in raising Daniel, and even had a money system that stretched to the other episodes. The other LiS games have been downgrades.
English

Ive said 1 time and ill say it 1000 times again, LIS 2 was PEAK cause it was what the franchise supposed to head on, an anthology of all this different stories and characters that really appealed real coming of age, cultural, social and personal issues with… ⬇️

@geek_WAVE_games Not really my views on specific games, but this article articulates well the hurdles and pitfalls of making games or sequels for fans rather than from a personal creative spark. We experienced it fully when we made LiS2 and got attacked for not continuing one of LiS1 endings.

media illiteracy and ignorance is genuinely the reason lis2 is not as positively talked as the other installations of the game

no hate to these ppl but it’s just interesting how this is ppls first thought. daniel should be able to play outside his house without worrying that his entire life could change. sean should be able to be an angsty teenager without worrying that his dad will get shot by a cop.
English

@shuraIes @JuanCarlosSR2 Absolutely, funny thing is they give you any excuse except i dont like it cause im racist~ or a biggot
English

@EARTH_616_2013 The game might be kind of deep and came out in a complicated time with a direct critique for the social and polítical climate those years, i think you have 2 acknowledge the whole environment in order to Connect with all of the characters, not just seeing the main ones
English

@gianthobbit Cause you bond with any of them aside from the brothers who I really dislike one is bland and the other is a little hellion I get that’s the point of the story. They’re on the run. But when every other game in the franchise fleshes this stuff out it’s annoying that this doesn’t

@Heisrein199 @EARTH_616_2013 Youre decisions not only count for you, but also impact on daniels education, the point of the series are the stories and choices not really the powers or ships so i think it cant be everyones cup of tea but that doesnt make it bad design it’s just not the game for you
English

@gianthobbit @EARTH_616_2013 The location jumping was a major point of the design that failed. Giving Daniel the power was a design that failed.
I also see the events in the game as part of the design and their escalation was just stupid. Here a dog, player FORCED to take it, here a dead dog...
English

@Heisrein199 @EARTH_616_2013 Well… they are running from a series of events and the point of the story it’s the destination so there is no surprise there, giving the powers to Daniel, i was shocked the first time but turns out it’s a really good plot twist on the formula of the game because (1/?)
English

@Heisrein199 @EARTH_616_2013 Curious here about this too… the most popular take i often see about this is that they feel the characters didnt have enough time to get to know them but what makes you say bad designed?
English

@EARTH_616_2013 @gianthobbit Exactly, LiS2 was simply a badly designed game. It jumped locations permanently, Daniel was terrible.
I undestand it was designed that way, but the design was simply not good.
English

@EARTH_616_2013 Im truly curious about this, and inhale a lot of takes on the subject but could you elabórate in the reasons why you cant connect with the characters?
English

@gianthobbit Personally I did not like life is strange 2
I didn’t really relate to the brothers
And i personally didn’t connect with any of the characters
When it comes to any other game in the franchise I can list off side characters based on personality.
But I can’t with lis 2
English

@AlexRageAndLove They shouldve stick to that and im sure they wouldve gotten the hang of it, i really liked true colors
English

@gianthobbit I think True Colors is the best D9 game because it continues this formula.
English

@inaseaofwords @PlayLostRecords Thats maybe to be friendly to newcomers, tbh if i have to say something not so great about it it’s that i struggle a lot with the camera in general, but i was starved to get on with the story i decidednto leave that for next playtrhoughs really
English

@gianthobbit @PlayLostRecords ngl i love lost records but i hate that they add symbols like ♥️💔🌱 on every dialogue option after you click on it to show that it affects anything in the story instead of just letting the effects unfold organically.
it makes me restart the game every time i got a 💔 symbol lol
English

@ZAK_Musik @MaximeTrekLis And mind me… the wavelengths dlc it’s really good complement i have to say
English

@gianthobbit @MaximeTrekLis I didn't like it when i played it, because of what i said and maybe my expectations were very high. I'm going to give it a second chance when i'll play it again. I was angry being spoiled by the trailer for a scene which i think was the best scene in the game (Gabe)
English

@gianthobbit Additionally, Don’t Nod wanted to tell another story for them, the story of Max & Chloe was finished.
They understood that even with Deck Nine releasing two games, they couldn’t match Life is Strange 1, so Don’t Nod created something completely new.
English

@ZAK_Musik @MaximeTrekLis Don get me wrong i still liked it, i even made some fanart but i took it for what it was, a first promising delivery that could be the base to great new stories, it just didnt happen
English

@ZAK_Musik @MaximeTrekLis I agree, it was a nice story that promised too much specially coming from where it began, you cant make up for a halfcooked story, build up to a lot and ended really… simple, there are part where they would just not commit 100% to the impact like the statue/rage scene
