It’s a bit weird to me that the director of Stellar Blade famously said there would never be any micro transactions for the game except for collaboration / licensed DLC. However they’ve gone back on that promise as the new Tachy skin costs $1. I don’t really mind, just odd. 🤷

@Brendzun Played a few matches yesterday, gameplay seems decent enough, minimal lag issues. Combat is slow sluggy mech-y I really like, in a crossplay setting. Got that going for it. Did see complaints about the release changing things to be more pay to win, not sure how accurate that is.

Anyone know anything about War Robots Frontiers? I was interested until I saw it's MTX heavy, with premium and a Battle Pass Damn near lost all interest entirely after I saw they have a Streamer Glaze event

@__silent_ I'm assuming .car here is the compressed archive, then .fsa is the file extension it decompresses to.

@__silent_ I assume all the file name shenanigans after unpacking the files is that function renaming archives that got unpacked to avoid unpacking them again (and possibly unlinking the archive after).

Time to stop reminiscing and actually try Big Scale Racing again. Already positively surprised by it - in-game you can only select up to 1024x768, but you can edit the config file and get proper 1080p with perfect scaling!

@__silent_ (You got me curious so I grabbed the last patch .zip and took a look at the code myself)

@__silent_ Since it seems capable of writing anywhere in the game directory I'd assume it probably dumps .fso files into Data\Cars.

@__silent_ Or maybe that's just the equivalent of fopen.

@__silent_ Going from your screenshot the decompression is gone but you didn't label 4810C0 as empty, is there still file reading code in there?
