You are Patrick.
☘️
5th century.
>Britain fades behind you.
>Rome is distant.
>The world is uncertain.
>You are taken.
>Not a soldier.
>Not a king.
>A boy.
>Sixteen.
>Carried across the sea.
>Ireland.
>Chains.
>Fields.
>Cold nights.
>Lonely hills.
>Sheep and silence.
>You pray.
>Again.
>And again.
>Faith grows in exile.
>A voice comes.
“You will go home.”
>You flee.
>Cross the waters.
>Return.
>But peace does not hold you.
>Another call.
>The Irish voices.
“We beg you, holy youth, come and walk among us again.”
>You rise.
>Not as captive.
>As messenger.
>You return to the land that bound you.
>No sword.
>No army.
>Only faith.
>You walk into kings’ halls.
>Druids watch.
>Fires burn.
>You light your own.
>On Tara.
>Defiance.
>Truth against shadow.
>You speak.
>A shamrock in hand.
>Mystery made simple.
>Clans listen.
>Many resist.
>Many follow.
>You baptize.
>You build.
>You endure.
>Legends grow.
>Snakes driven from the land.
>Darkness pushed back.
>Not by force.
>By conviction.
>Years pass.
>The island changes.
>A slave returns.
>A saint remains.
