French Horn - Who (where?) are today's great French horn soloists? My generation and one before me had Dennis Brain, Barry Tuckwell, and Hermann Baumann. You could add Alan Civil and Dale Clevenger. Who takes the spotlight now? Have French horn recordings gone out of fashion?

"Le Duc d'Albe" is an opera that #Donizetti left unfinished, much to his regret. This @OperaRara recording ignores the 2012 reconstruction attempt and, for philological reasons, only considers the first two acts, which Donizetti left almost entirely complete, and omits the (1/3)

@maoguo429986 Of Václav Neumann's versions of Smetana's Má Vlast, I will always have a spot for the later recordings [of 1972 for Panton, and the one of below of 1975 for Supraphon] because of the peculiar colours of the Czech Philharmonic (string playing and woodwinds).
