I'm trying to run 2 Hermes bots with 2 different model configurations, and it suggested that I create separate gateways. Would this be the most ideal setup, or would it lead to more RAM being consumed? It was 'easier' for OpenClaw where I could configure different models for each bot inside of the .json config.

I've opened up a Pandora's box after learning about OpenRouter's free models, and I plan to build clearer skills and outsource them to reduce token burn. Most CLIs are compatible with OpenRouter, so I can run different models on the same Digital Brain repo I'm using, while not spending any money at all. The only caveat is that I topped up $10.50 to OpenRouter to get 1,500 requests per day, but I think it's worth the investment for now.

You don't need OpenClaw or Hermes to use AI effectively. All you need is to find a way to automate your workflows and remove the boring, repetitive tasks that you hate doing. Start by building your first useful Claude Skill with my full free guide: gideonfip.gumroad.com/l/build-a-usef…

@0xdgw I did mention it previously haha but it still went to execute such a big trade, I should have gotten it to confirm first before making the trade

@gideonfip Yeah it is a good lesson haha I explicitly told my agent: “your starting capital is $50, if you deviate from the plan or execute without approval… you risk any increases in future allocations”

What happens when you don't set hard limits on your agent wallet. I wanted to only swap $20 per trade, while my agent decided to swap my full USDC amount over to ZRO instead. A lesson learnt to write out my skill in detail first before executing anything, and to always use test amounts instead of giving one lump sum over to my agent.

@0xPixy Depends on your setup ser, but claude skills can be used in .agents folders if you set it up in that way, depending on which model you chose. I've also DM-ed you previously ser

There's no denying that Claude has the best features, but there's no point if we're consistently hitting its rate limits. Token costs are going up and it's only a matter of time before other plans lower their limits, but that's why we need the flexibility to switch providers whenever we want. The worst decision is getting locked in with one provider that changes its terms, while others give more value for your token burn.
JUMPERZ@jumperz

hate to say it but sharing a codex account with your friend (100$ each) is just a better deal than solo Claude max a few months ago claude felt insane value now it just feels like you’re fighting the limits more than actually building it burns through usage way faster (like 3–4x more tokens on the same task) so even on max you hit caps way quicker than you expect people literally reporting they use 30% of their claude quota for something codex does in like 3% also I bet that more than half are using Claude just cause it produces better UI.. if codex smh fixes that , it’s no brainer for people to just sub to codex..

@pseryte MiniMax has been decent for me, plans are quite affordable at $10/month for 1,500 request/5 hours

@gideonfip ChatGPT is so dumb. Claude is getting expensive. What's the next best option we have?

@moonpay @OpenWallet Is there a way to encrypt the wallet with a passphrase? I’ve been trying to find that option which was mentioned in the docs, but I’m not prompted to enter one when creating a wallet.

@RHLSTHRM I'm curious to know how you're setting up your OpenClaw to talk with Claude, what tool are you using for this?

More dancing on OpenClaw's grave today after Claude's latest announcement. Very impressive features they are shipping and this is honestly exciting to see, and I am stoked to use it. I am as big a Claude Code stan as anyone and I have my setup very well tuned. However I still don't think this replaces OpenClaw for me. I think of my OpenClaw as my Chief of Staff. He answers all my questions, and recruits Claude to help him when he needs help. OpenClaw is still the orchestration layer of my life, and Claude Code is my superpowered one-stop shop tool which continues to get more powerful.
Claude@claudeai

You can now enable Claude to use your computer to complete tasks. It opens your apps, navigates your browser, fills in spreadsheets—anything you'd do sitting at your desk. Research preview in Claude Cowork and Claude Code, macOS only.

I wasted so much time with my Hermes agent on Discord, trying to get it to deploy a site for me. I almost banged my head multiple times because the commands were all failing, and I couldn't give it full access to make the changes for me. When all I needed was to use the Terminal chat instead. A lesson learnt after wasting almost 2 hours of endless troubleshooting: When making any changes to the main Hermes config, it should be done via the Terminal and not any other channel (like Discord).
