For our gifted kids, social interactions and self-regulation may be difficult. They often experience intense emotions and heightened sensitivity. Let’s create a nurturing environment where gifted children can thrive both academically and socially.🌱 #GiftedPAGE

The deadline to have your Representative sign the Javits Dear Colleague letter is next week! This is the only federal funding for gifted education, so don't delay in reaching out!

Under Sen. Donnie Chesteen’s bill, students would have new opportunities to pursue a high school diploma with a greater focus on career tech opportunities, while at the same time, reducing the number of math and science courses they’re required to take. aldailynews.com/workforce-bill…

Making sure everyone sees this news - the estimate for the cost of dropping income tax for overtime is much larger than originally expected. The ETF is taking the hits, y'all. Great reporting by @MarySellQuillen #aledchat
Alabama Daily News@ALDailyNews

“This is problematic to now have an estimate that is off by almost $150 million,” said Alabama Sen. Arthur Orr of the bill’s bigger-than-expected impact on tax revenue. #ALPolitics buff.ly/4d3PL7t

Alabama currently does not offer teachers or state employees any paid parental leave. Policymakers say paid parental leave can offer a big boost to employee retention and morale. al.com/educationlab/2… #aledchat

Please share with your networks if so inclined: My colleague @_kristenlamb (University of Alabama) and I are doing a project on what people mean when they say they are OR are not creative. We are looking for participants to subjectively rank a set of statements that have been used in the past as indicators of people's beliefs about their own creativity. The expected time to complete participation is 15-30 minutes depending on how deliberate you are with your sorting. And you'll want to complete the participation on a computer rather than phone. The online system we're using requires that we send individual codes to participants, so if you are interested, please direct message me with your email and I'll send you an official invite with your personalized code. Thank you for your contribution to our work.
