@rosicrane @petesime There is an 'inactive' fault mapped about 2-3 km to the west of that roughly defined location which follows along the general alignment of SH87, and stretches from the end of active portion of the Hyde fault all the way to the North Taieri fault.

@petesime Hard to know. There's no major fault marked on the geological map of Dunedin. But as the underlying geology are the schists of the Torlese Group, it'll be pretty fractured in any case. I suspect the satellite view are gullies that drain to Deep Stream, maybe?
