“Assault rifle” is a manufactured term by Adolf Hitler to insight fear when referring to the MP 43. Fully automatic weapons are already banned from private ownership unless given explicit consent by the US Government and you’re willing to pay the tens of thousands they cost. Unless you have a revolver, bolt action or a pump/break away shotgun, the gun will be a semi-auto. The UK has also banned most private gun ownership entirely. In fact, most police officers in the UK don’t even carry guns.

@giggle_lyfe @BeingJWood An assault rifle kills a lot more people than a knife does. Yes I agree it’s a lot to do with the person holding the gun but that wouldn’t be possible without people like you. The UK has a bunch of knife crime, it’s still dangerous but they don’t have people shooting up schools.

Someone with the intention of murdering will do so regardless of the weapon of choice. Guns are not the problem, people with bad intentions are. I grew up in a house filled with guns and not a single one of them have ever been used to shoot someone. Schools are gun free zones. Criminals don’t obey laws.

Abigail Spanberger and the Democrats are pushing Unconstitutional laws in hopes of turning law abiding gun owners into criminals. @SpanbergerForVA needs to be impeached. vacarryban.com

If Dems aren’t trying to infringe upon 2A rights then why is Spanberger using all encompassing terminology to declare pistols with a threaded barrel as an “assault firearm” in order to ban them? Why are citizens who have owned 30 round mags for years, considered criminals under the Democrat proposed bill that does not offer a grand father clause? This is happening in Virginia.

@giggle_lyfe @BeingJWood Funny how the Republicans are trying to infringe on the 14th amendment though 🤭 btw, Dems aren’t trying to infringe on people’s rights to bear arms, they just want to make sure the people that do, are not going to go shoot up a school <3 plz grow a brain

Donald Trump’s grandfather, Frederick Trump, became a naturalized citizen in 1892. Donald’s father Fred was born in 1905. Fred had birth right citizenship because his father had already become a US citizen. As for Donald Trump’s mother, Mary Anne Trump, she became a naturalized citizen in 1942. Donald Trump was born in 1946. Both of us his parents were United States citizens at the time of his birth.

If the U.S. didn’t have birthright citizenship, we wouldn’t have a 34-count pedophile felon in the Oval Office right now… Donald J. Trump is only a U.S. citizen because of it. His mother, Mary Anne MacLeod Trump, wasn’t a citizen when he was born. His father, Fred Trump, was only a citizen because he was born here to immigrant parents. No birthright citizenship… His dad wouldn’t be a citizen. His mom wasn’t a citizen. So, what does that make him? And now he wants to end the very rule that made it his own life, wealth, and presidency possible. If they end birthright citizenship… then they have to do the same to Trump’s presidency.

@JBlunt1018 Over 6 million people illegally entered the United States during the Biden Administration. CBP and ICE were handicapped, preventing them from doing their jobs.

Birthright citizenship isn’t complicated; the fringe is trying to make it sound complicated. This isn’t hard. 1. If the concern is illegal entry, enforce the border. We already spend billions on CBP and ICE. That’s an execution issue, not a constitutional one. 2. If the concern is birth tourism fix it directly: — Shorten B2 visa stays — Tighten screening at entry — Enforce visa intent rules These are policy levers fully within government control. You don’t rewrite the Constitution because enforcement is weak. C’mon man!

Minimum wage is for minimal skilled jobs. A cashier at McDonald’s shouldn’t earn more than a paramedic just like a paramedic shouldn’t earn more than a brain surgeon. It’s an entry level position. If someone chooses to stay at an entry level position and not advance in their job/career, that’s not the employer’s fault. I went from earning $7.25/hr at 16 to over $40k by 19 without a degree.

I fucking hate the “minimum wage is for high schoolers” talking point. A. No it isn’t, that’s historically inaccurate. B. Telling a kid to work hard and earn money the “right” way, then turning around and saying he deserves less just because of his age is bullshit. Pay should be based on performance. Nothing else. If you’re against raising the minimum wage, that’s fine. Make a better argument that isn’t belittling kids trying to work hard and earn something for themselves.

On average empires only last 250 years. The United States of America celebrates its 250th birthday this year. Empires typically fell because of invasion, economic collapse, and internal conflict. Is the United States at the end of her empire?

I stated that babies born to diplomats residing in the US are not given birth right citizenship. You then proceeded to ask if Melania’s child, Barron should be given citizenship. I then explained how he was eligible for birth right citizenship despite his mom not becoming a naturalized citizen until after his birth.

@giggle_lyfe It doesn’t say one parent has to be a citizen for the child to be a legal citizen. Do you realize you’re changing the the rules to fit your narrative?

The estimated world population of 1760 was 770,000,000. Less than one billion people on the planet when the Declaration of Independence was written. The world population is estimated to have reached one billion by 1804. At this point, the United States had only been a country for 28 years. The Louisiana purchase had been made only one year prior bringing the estimated United States population to between five and seven million. The 14th Amendment was ratified in 1868 and the United States population was approaching thirty-eight million. The 14th Amendment was written after freeing enslaved black men, women, and children to ensure that they too were protected under the United States Constitution. By 1900 the United States population was approaching eighty million. As of 2026 the United States population is approximately 348,554,331 In 2023 there were over three million illegal border crossings into the United States. The 14th amendment needs to be amended/re-written so that babies born only to parents legally residing within the United States are given birth right citizenship.

In 1892 Donald Trump’s grandfather, Frederick Trump, became a United States citizen. Donald Trump’s father, Fred Trump, was born in New York in 1905 to a father who was a naturalized United States citizen, thus giving him birthright citizenship. Donald Trump was born in New York in 1946, both of his parents were United States citizens. All of Donald’s children are citizens because of not only being born in the United States, but also having a father who was already a citizen of the country.

Correct, James Madison was the “father” of the constitution however he did correspond with Madison and others while he was in France. If the second amendment, which explicitly states “shall not be infringed” is up for interpretation, then why can’t the fourteenth amendment be as well?

@giggle_lyfe @BraddrofliT The amendment clearly says “all persons born in the United States.” There is no wiggle room there for interpretation. Thomas Jefferson didn’t write the constitution.

@ClarkBentley3 Melania only has one child, Barron Trump, and since his father is already a citizen of this country by birth, he too is a citizen. As for Donald’s other children, the same can be said for them.

@giggle_lyfe You’re rewriting the Constitution to fit a narrative. “Subject to the jurisdiction” has already been ruled on being born here = citizenship, regardless of your parents’ status. That’s not opinion, that’s precedent. The fucking law dummy.

@giggle_lyfe @BraddrofliT Quoting a 250 year old Jefferson line doesn't override the Constitution. The Supreme Court settled this in 1898 (Wong Kim Ark): the 14th Amendment applies to everyone born here, regardless of their parents' status. You’re arguing against a century of established law.
