@TilmanJFertitta He was a legacy Rocket for sure and always gave back to the community. It would be nice to see the Rockets wear a uniform patch in his honor for the remainder of the year. It is an old NBA tradition and could instill a sense of that legacy into your scrappy young team!

I will never forget watching the Rockets teams he was a part of in the 80s compete in the Finals and the love he had for the game.

It is with great sorrow that my family and I received the news of the passing of Rockets legend, Robert Reid. I have had the privilege of knowing Robert for over 40 years, and his presence always brought joy and positivity to any room he entered.

The Fertitta Family and the Houston Rockets organization are deeply saddened by the passing of former player and head coach John “Johnny” Egan, who was one of the original Houston Rockets. Johnny made Houston his home and was an active member in his community.

He remained involved in the Rockets family for five decades, continuing to participate in community and alumni events after his playing and coaching career. Johnny’s vibrant personality and kind spirit will be missed. Our condolences go out to his beloved family.
