Blizzard announced improvements to the aura filter API for tomorrows beta build! Filter for CROWD_CONTROL Filter for BIG_DEFENSIVE Filter to just show dispellable auras Filter for "raid flagged" auras in combat (this one means mostly just Hots and Shields, no more bloat)

Mage had too much for a long time, we can all agree. And I’m sure a lot of people laugh at mages now because they are crying. But apart from frost mage due to 2x barrier and ice cold both arcane and fire is very squishy currently.

A lot of mage players in PvE are not going to be ready for all the defensive pruning. Mage has one of the lowest base hp in the game because you were suppose to use your heavy DRs to not die. I get mage needed pruning but, it is one of the squishiest classes in the game now.
