vibe-node phase 5 is done the vibes are valid This version produces blocks that are validated by Haskell nodes on a private devnet, where two nodes are Haskell nodes and vibe-node is the third node. This is a major milestone in vibe-node, because this means we can not only successfully sync the chain and select a tip, but we can forge a valid block that is acknowledged by the Haskell nodes. This was the most challenging step so far, and it's the step that sets the vibe-node approach apart. A common thing that happens with AI development with really complex code bases is that it can get stuck in "guess and check" mode. It see there's an error, it does some research, makes a best guess about the problem, and tries to fix it. What often happens in these complex tasks is that it'll get stuck in loops of frantically trying to quickly check code and guess the problem and fix it, and get stuck in this loop. This is where a senior developer guiding the AI comes into play. Some of the packages it was using I have expertise in and have contributed to, so I saw what it was trying to do and break the loop. However, there was another set of loops it got stuck in that had to do with valid block processing that I had 0 knowledge in. This is where the knowledge base comes into play. I saw that it got stuck on a particular spot, and rather than allowing it to continue iterate on it and fail, I asked it to take a step back and map out the set of processes it was dealing with. There's now a set of diagrams in the docs showing the block validation process. This allowed the AI to track down a series of bugs that helped it get to a point where the Haskell nodes accepted blocks from the node. What this means is that within a week, we were able to produce valid blocks using AI on a fresh codebase. But we are not done. Next we need to harden, track down issues in dependencies, identify and fix gaps. It's one thing to have our blocks accepted by Haskell nodes, it's another to make sure that if our network is running on 50% of vibe-code nodes, that there isn't the possibility of vibe-node producing a bad block that half the network accepts and the other doesn't.

Today, as agreed, we paid back to the Cardano treasury the ₳920.4K leftovers from our past treasury withdrawal. We got lucky with the market this summer and didn't spend all our budget. Note that some of the accounts still hold USDM, meant to pay remaining late 2025 invoices.

Intersect@IntersectMBO

One of the next major outcomes of the Critical Cardano Integrations workstream is now in place! The Steering Committee representing @IOGroup @Cardano_CF @emurgo_io @midnightfdn and Intersect has approved a major interoperability integration for Cardano: bringing @LayerZero_Core to the ecosystem. LayerZero is one of the most widely adopted omnichain messaging protocols in Web3, connecting 150+ blockchains and enabling access to 400+ tokens and $80B+ in omnichain assets. This integration unlocks the largest cross-chain connectivity expansion in Cardano’s history, opening pathways to stablecoin liquidity, Bitcoin-backed assets, tokenized real-world assets, and shared DeFi infrastructure across the broader crypto ecosystem. As the ecosystem continues to invest in long-term infrastructure and utility, this marks another step in positioning Cardano for sustained growth and broader global relevance. This is one of the flagship integrations progressing under the Critical Integrations framework, with Intersect acting as administrator. Delivery work now moves into deployment, with further milestones and timelines to be shared as progress continues. Learn more ➡️ bit.ly/CardanoXLayerZ…

People are mind-blown by @moltbook — “a place where bots talk to each other without humans.” Congrats, you just reinvented X, LinkedIn, and Reddit since ~2022

@giozzi Do you have similar 2025 heatmap showing institutional on-boarding by CF?

🚨 @aave is having a full blown civil war And it might be the biggest governance fight defi has ever seen. Heres a clean breakdown 👇 Aave has two sides: – Aave labs → a centralised entity founded by stani – Aave dao → token holders who govern the protocol Now heres what happening, Dec 4, 2025: Aave labs announces a partnership with @CoWSwap to improve swap pricing + mev protection on the aave interface. Dec 11, 2025: A popular delegate, @DeFi_EzR3aL drops onchain analysis stating that swap fees from the new cow swap contract are being routed to a private wallet controlled by aave labs. Not the dao. Translation: DAO revenue just got quietly cut off. Dec 12, 2025: Marc zeller (largest delegate, aave chan initiative) calls it stealth privatization. Claims ~$10m per year that should go to the dao is gone. Dec 16, 2025: Things go nuclear ☢️ A. Proposal called “poison pill” by Tulip King. The demands: – Seize all aave ip, code, and brand – Force aave labs to become a dao owned subsidiary – Claw back all past revenue earned using the aave brand B. Then comes proposal #2 — “brand seizure” by former cto of aave labs @eboadom, – Move trademarks, domains, socials to the dao immediately. Logic: If dao pays for dev + marketing then dao should own the brand, domains, socials. Aave Labs / Stani’s defense: – This (cowswap thing) was never a fee switch. – Frontend revenue was a surplus labs donated voluntarily. – Aave labs is a private company. – DAO owns the contracts, not the website. – Labs pays for hosting, security, and frontend engineers. Now the plot twist, amid all this chaos, Aave labs opens a snapshot vote on dec 23👇 Proposal: Give aave token (aave dao) holders explicit control over brand assets, domains, socials, naming rights, github, npm, everything. (baed on @eboadom's proposal) Except… The author of the proposal @eboadom says he never approved it. He claims it was rushed to vote with his name on it while discussion was still active. Calls it “disgraceful.” Urges people to abstain. @Marczeller says the proposal was rushed during holidays, with fresh delegations gaining voting power. Zoom out. This isn’t about cow swap. This isn’t about one wallet. This is the unresolved question of defi: Who actually owns a protocol? The code? The frontend? Or the brand? Aave is about to set a precedent. And everyone is watching.

@giozzi Used to be (4) but after feeling the effects of it over a while (couple years), realised I wouldn’t last the long-term if I kept it up, so dialled it back and now fit in the (1) category.
