PTF alert part 2. Damaged PTF - MJ06246 ver 7.4. The iASP #IBMi LPAR may crash due to bad memory handling. Check new PTF 7.4 MJ08020 which fixes bad memory handling and may cause stuck of addressing memory in #IBMi lpar. Now, I want my last month of life back

PTF alert for #IBMi systems. The latest TR12 has defect in handling memory pools. It results in constant paging and performance degradation. No fix yet. There is another PTF which fix bad process folding mechanism which exist for long time OS 7.4 MJ06158 on 7.5 MJ06226

Attending a brainstorming session with #IBM development. Very interesting things to be delivered in future #HMC release. Should save lot of time.

New record for IO generated by a single #IBMi #LPAR. Reporting traffic can produce up to 180 000 I/O per second. Intentionally this LPAR uses internal #NVMe adapters. Response time is still amazing ~ 0.11ms

New POWER firmware just arrived. There is a fix for a problem which reported two years ago when an LPAR with 1 CPU/1VRT capped had performance issue. When we uncapped it runs well. Yes the bug was in Phyp ibm.com/support/pages/…

Recently had an issue on #S924 where PCIe bridge reset. As the result an LPAR using internal NVMe collapsed. Better redundancy provides slots C2-C6 and another pair C7-C8 #IBMPowersystems #IBMi

Had an unique opportunity to visit #IBM #labs. Acoustic chamber to measure a noise generate by servers. Temperature chamber to measure reliability of HW in low and high temperatures . Mechanic chamber to diagnose vibrations for the overall functionality. @LUG_Office
