Only 9 days remain before the Genesis @XOOBNetwork campaign ends, and I’m still sitting outside the top 1000 leaderboard. What makes it even more challenging is that my points continue to increase, yet my ranking keeps moving in the opposite direction. This time I dropped to #1194 from #1191, while my points climbed from 164 to 176. That’s when it becomes clear that earning more points doesn’t automatically mean moving up the leaderboard. Once again, the real issue isn’t the content itself ~ it’s the engagement metrics behind it. No matter how well written or insightful the content is, without strong engagement through views, likes, reposts, comments, and overall community interaction, the points earned tend to stay relatively modest. On top of that, engagement isn’t the only factor affecting the outcome. X Score and XOOB NFT ownership also play a major role in point generation. A stronger X Score, especially above the 100 mark, can significantly impact how many points you receive. Meanwhile, owning an XOOB NFT gives an additional boost of up to 50%, creating another layer of advantages within the system. This is probably what ImpactFi is trying to achieve: rewarding more than just content output by taking broader ecosystem contribution into account. The idea isn’t simply about who posts the most or who creates the best content, but also about measuring the value someone brings to the project and its ecosystem. At the same time, this also exposes an interesting dynamic. Larger accounts with stronger audiences, higher engagement, better scores, and ecosystem assets already have a built-in advantage. Smaller accounts, even when producing quality content consistently, often have to put in much more effort just to keep up. In the end, it starts becoming less about content quality alone and more about the momentum and ecosystem influence you already carry with you.

Today’s XOOB update hit a little differently. My points haven’t moved at all since yesterday and are still stuck at the same number. The only thing that changed was my ranking, dropping from #1169 to #1191. With only 11 days left before the campaign ends, the path to the top 1000 is starting to look pretty steep haha. From what I’m seeing, this is probably the reality when your X score is below 100 and you don’t have an XOOB NFT as a point booster. At this stage, it feels like consistency alone isn’t enough. Engagement, reach, interactions, and overall account performance seem to matter much more when it comes to leaderboard movement. For smaller accounts like mine, the competition feels tough. Sometimes it feels like campaigns like this naturally favor people who already have an established audience and stronger engagement metrics. Meanwhile, smaller creators often have to work twice as hard just to maintain their position, let alone make a meaningful climb. That said, I’m still going to stay active until the very end. I see it as building my creator track record and leaving my own contribution behind. Sometimes the biggest value doesn’t come directly from a leaderboard spot. There may be other opportunities on the other side ~ new connections, recognition, or something even better that isn’t visible yet. The ImpactFi model behind @XOOBNetwork is interesting, though. It does a great job of rewarding participation and community activity. But at the same time, it clearly gives an advantage to people who already have strong reach and engagement. For smaller creators, the challenge isn’t just showing up, it’s staying consistent long enough for momentum to finally kick in. XOOB it! 👾
