@PEGiardinetti Honestly for the general fangan the worst i believe is they might get a copyright strike or asked to take down and it may be fine to reupload after making necessary changes/replacing. I cant imagine most fangans are causing brand damage or damaging fiscally enough to get charged.

@gitarooMain Not to mention, no one wants to sue, especially if the person you are suing is broke. They will probably just send a cease and desist if they disagree with your nonprofit fangan. You might face criminal charges depending on the jurisdiction, but that was already the case.

@imleeham I like how manic greyman is and how animated and sometimes off-model cartoony the chars are sometimes in them. Later games they tried to stick to being more on-model/accurate but i like the energy of dr1’s.

An example of this i know of is a fan-novel of fgo called Grand Order Alternative which got pulled from publishing because the cover resembled official works too much (see use of the GO from the fgo logo) but after revision was able to be republished fine.
