That is putting a detrimental to so many. Water is life. City and State officials need to start treating it as such.

When questioning city officials about this, they often respond with... "The fountains have to be shut off due to people abusing them and bathing there." That is not abuse. That is survival. There then needs to be a better source for bathing. The solution CANNOT be to shut off!

Not everyone in the U.S. has the same access to water. Take a walk around your higher SES neighborhoods and parks, you'll see city funded water fountains. Then go to your low SES area's parks and you will not see the same. Absolutely criminal. Water is a basic human right!

Goodness update! So far in 2021, we have welcomed more than 110 new neighbors to Community First! Village. You are helping us lift more of our homeless friends up off the streets and into a permanent home in the Village every day!

@TrandelElent This is why ARA Water Foundation has no one currently taking a salary. We all volunteer to find solutions for more access to water. We went to work with with gov to end homelessness. At the end of the day our hope is that our organization is no longer needed.
