They didn't need to understand why it was wrong. All they just needed to do was obey a clear instruction. A child doesn't need to understand electrical engineering to obey "don't touch that socket." They had enough knowledge , they knew God said don't, and they knew the consequence (death). They knew that he is the CREATOR. That's sufficient for accountability. Also, talking about an ALL KNOWING GOD, God wouldn't want a robotic relationship with his creatures, and that's why he gave humans a WILL. A test with no real temptation isn't a test at all, the tree was there not for them to eat. Clear instructions were given. A lecturer said " if you do not read, you'll fail my questions ". You went ahead not to read, and you failed. Did the lecturer want you to fail ? Last question : " Couldn't handle " ? Where did you get that from ? It was a punishment for the serpent — a demotion. Let's talk about the " unsuspecting children ". Yes, the children of God face temptations and trials, but we have a high priest who is moved by feelings of our infirmities. This is part of the reasons God sent Jesus to die for the sins of " his children ". Even Jesus, the son of God, faced this while He was on earth. If he could win, we could win too.

They had no knowledge of good or bad, so how could they KNOW it was wrong. That’s one question. Second question, why would an all knowing god, put literal children with in a space with such temptation? Except he knew they would and wanted them to actually eat it? Third question, why would he send the same Satan him and his angels couldn’t handle himself in heaven to earth to deceive these unsuspecting children?

@bodybyzedd The fruit is the fruit of good and evil. I love to refer to it as an activator. And it's good or bad, not "right or wrong". The least God expected from them was obedience, but the serpent convinced one of them out of the instructions of God.

"The hair of this being was red. The skin was pale white." "It had six fingers on each hand and six toes on each foot." "The pallet was 9 feet long and he's in the fetal position, so they estimated his size at 10 to 12 feet tall." "This thing was solid as a rock. It was like a brick. Just solid muscle." Tim Alberino recounts a US soldier describing the body of a 12ft being they loaded onto a C-130 out of Afghanistan. Episode with Tim Alberino out now for members. Public release tomorrow.

@_krissjr @iCreators007 Okay, sorry to mischaracterize. You said "Genuine people seeking the truth always finds it". What do you say to a genuine seeker who found a very different truth than you?

OK please explain to me why GOD did not just destroy the devil since HE knew the devil would lure Adam and Eve to sin? Or are you telling me HE didn't know? I am struggling to believe that there is someone called the devil when there is someone as powerful as GOD. Imagine what the US does today. The US is so powerful that it wouldnt want another very destructive powerful country to exist. So why would GOD allow the devil exist? To what end?

@_krissjr @iCreators007 How shameful. You just let your brother go to hell. Jesus would have spoonfed him, just like he spoonfed his original followers with miracles and such.

There’s a cool feature in Latin, the gerundive, which is a verbal adjective implying that something should/must happen. A few of them survive into English words: If someone should be revered, they are “reverend”. If something must be cut away, it is a “dividend”. My favorite: if a story is so good that it simply must be read by everyone, it is “legend”! Latin reverendus/a, dividendum, and legenda. Pretty cool that what is sometimes a difficult concept for Latin learners is actually present in English, albeit rarely. Do let me know if there are any good ones I’ve missed.

This argument kind of pulls a fast one. It says demons can’t have evidence because no observation could disconfirm them, and therefore none could confirm them either. But that only works if demons make no difference to what we observe. In the traditional view, they do things like violent aversion to sacred objects, speaking in unknown languages, extreme personality changes, or unexplained physical disturbances. And once something produces effects, observations can count for or against it. In fact, there are disconfirming observations: when those same signs turn out to have better explanations, psychological conditions, environmental causes, or plain human weird behavior. In those cases, the demonic hypothesis loses ground. So the real question isn’t “no evidence possible,” but “what best explains what we’re seeing?”
Benjamin Blake Speed Watkins 🇺🇸🇺🇦🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️@SpeedWatkins

What observation could disconfirm a demon? If no observation would be less likely without demons than with them, then no observation is more likely given them. By Bayes’ theorem, no evidence can confirm such a hypothesis. It is empirically empty and so explains nothing we see.

I never understood the purpose of this doctrine. Obviously Mary was a virgin when she had Jesus, but why must she remain perpetually so? Especially when the Bible talks about Jesus’s brothers. She was married to Joseph and sex within marriage is good, not sinful.
Michael Knowles@michaeljknowles

When it comes to the perpetual virginity of Mary, do you agree with the Catholic view or with the view of Protestant reformers Martin Luther, Ulrich Zwingli, and John Wesley?

@glaucwn @Caripka @JennMGreenberg Adam and Eve did. And we each are continuing the Fall, and passing it down to our children. Each of us. Because we can’t help ourselves. This is a really, really, fundamental teaching of Christianity.

@glaucwn @Caripka @JennMGreenberg Absolutely he could. He could wipe it all out of existence and create a completely new world with the old bad one — and you, specifically — unremembered, irrelevant, and nonexistent. Because he can. That would work. Right?
