Mainland's girls junior varsity four has been a juggernaut this year. The undefeated boat kept it going with a first-place finish at the Stotesbury Cup Regatta in Philadelphia. pressofatlanticcity.com/sports/high-sc…

@ayeeechief @x412xSPORTSx @MLBNetwork @Pirates IMHO it would be a disaster.
He's the face of the franchise and he makes the Pirates relevant around the league. It would be so sad to see that superstar go.
English

@glenn1of12 @x412xSPORTSx @MLBNetwork @Pirates Idk it’s hard. He’ll be making atleast $50-$60 mil a year & that’s half their payroll so unless the owner doubles the payroll it seems impossible. That’s the down side to small market teams but their pitching is so strong that losing him wouldn’t be a disaster, just heartbreaking

@kminnicksports @SpikeEskin I thought that if the Flyers were to beat the Penguins, it would be a huge step in the right direction.
If they keep up the progression, in two years, they could be contenders for years to come as the players mature.
English

. @SpikeEskin the Flyers have been irrelevant for how many years? You said the other day that the Sixers have been relevant . Bottom line is the Sixers were expected to do a lot more this season and failed once again to do so. How many people expected the Flyers to make a run?

@MLBNetwork @ToddZolecki @Phillies Maturity.
And he really grasped it and went with it.
Great job!, Kyle

Kyle Schwarber is tied for the MLB lead with 16 home runs and is on pace for 63 this season.

@awkwardgoogle I wonder what the cost of building with 3-D vs traditional.?
English

@DDris87709 @x412xSPORTSx @MLBNetwork @Pirates But don't players deserve to be payed as much as their worth? Without a cap.
English

@x412xSPORTSx @glenn1of12 @MLBNetwork @Pirates Baseball needs both a salary cap and relegation. A cap keeps superteams from buying up everybody else's stars. Relegation means cheapskates like Nutting have to actually try to win before they're playing in a rundown lot behind the rec center with raccoons running the dugout.
English

@glenn1of12 @x412xSPORTSx @MLBNetwork @Pirates The Pirates clearly don’t have a problem with developing pitching that losing him would be a “disaster”. And let’s be real, if Skenes played for 24 other teams they wouldn’t be able to keep him either with what he’ll get paid
English

@Kevin_Durso I feel like he has a level of play that the younger players could follow.
Consistent Hard work and he just doesn't dump the puck quickly after defense, like the younger guys. He looks ahead to make plays.
Thanks for your coverage!!

I feel like Cates had been very consistent in his role that his value should be well known. One of their best players post-Olympics. I also think by the time he was out, it wasn’t changing anything. But his presence helps you win the first round, no question. #IgniteTheOrange

@Kevin_Durso @973espn I would also add missing Cates as a solid two-way player was detrimental. He's quietly wry good.

There were plenty of lessons learned along the way during the #Flyers playoff run. Here are 10 things we learned from their first playoff appearance in six seasons.
