🚨New paper alert🚨 We've shown that the WatchBP Office Central inaccurately estimates central BP in children and adolescents. We also make the new argument that BP Device Validation studies should be stopped for futility when it's clear they won't pass. nature.com/articles/s4137…

@drjosflynn @IntPedHTN @TammyBradyMD Great to see an ABPM device validation study in children. That said, the error SDs seem too good to be true. An SD of 3.5 mmHg for SBP and 2.3 mmHg for DBP causes my eyebrows to rise. Our data suggest 4.5 mmHg is about the best one could expect for a perfect device. @glenningj
