Last night, Truck 14, Ambulance 6, Ambulance 8, and Battalion 6 responded to a multi-vehicle accident at intersection of willow and old willow road. Thank you to Glenview Police Department for directing traffic and shutting down the roads to ensure safety for all personnel.

A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued until 8 p.m. capable of producing damaging wind and hail with potential of torrential downpours and/or tornados.

The Glenview Fire Department is pleased to welcome four new hires to our team. These individuals have been working their respective shifts over the past few months as they work towards completing their probationary period. The following employees are pictured below:

The cold temperatures didn’t stop the GFD crews from training today 🥶. Companies performed extrication and stabilization tasks utilizing the following tools today: winch, cribbing, airbags, Hurst spreaders, rescue 42’s, and the bag-o-chains.

Happy New Year Glenview! 2024 was a busy year for the Glenview Fire Department. We responded to 10,080 calls for service, our highest amount in the history of the department. We are proud to serve our community and wish everyone a safe and happy new year!

At approx. 11:10 pm, the @GlenviewILPD and @GlenviewFire responded to a two vehicle accident on the 1200 block of East Lake Avenue. 3 patients were transported in critical condition and 1 person is dead following this accident. MCAT is investigating. @CapturedNews #ChicagoScanner
