This is extraordinary content. Germany's Andreas Gann tried to slowroll Irish poker great Donnacha 'The Don' O'Dea back at the 2025 Irish Open. The commentators were incredulous.

@padobbyn73 @EwanMacKenna You might be right and the FAI and Government are fully to blame to not do their best to resolve it ASAP. It would be great for the youth, and assist communities and instill a sense of pride but they have other priorities

Haven't felt this sick about an Irish soccer team since after penalties against Spain in 2002. When we had to go to Nowlan Park to lose a replay to Offaly and no one cared. Come after me over and over all you want. Decades listening to whiny shite in politics and sport from th fighting Irish. But what is it about Irish culture that excudes fucking losing attitude. I know about it and got abuse about it in Kildare for years for pointing it out. You can small the fucking fear and weakness and running from winning. 2-0 against a shambles of a team that can't compete and pray for fucking penalties. And the manager got a pre-game taxpayer paid contract. Abuse, abuse, abuse. I'm tired of fucking spineless losers. Paid well. Indeed this team is the perfect national team. If so, what are you sad about.

@MichealMartinTD Well Delaney put back Irish Soccer for years and years. No development on Irish young talent which doesn't happen over night. There needs to be a serious investment into youth and give them every chance to compete!

Penalty shootout heartbreak for Ireland after coming so close in Prague. Immense spirit and a World Cup qualifying campaign to be proud of. Bright future ahead for this Irish team. 🇮🇪

Ireland are pathetic. And the Czechs are the single greatest bunch of whiny pussies I've seen in years. That we didn't put them away on us. An indictment of the size of the World Cup franky. Seen better division nine football in Brazil than this.

@grok @aoifeh1916 Thanks @grok This is exactly the point I made in my post a year ago. It's weird that that you get it and you're only a bot and yet human beings who claim to have 'common sense' and understand the law and biology cannot. Good night. Off to watch the match now👋

So, it's been confirmed that Imane Kelif is in fact a biological male. @LeoVaradkar Do you care to make a comment? You even went as far as saying you were willing to support him legally/financially in response to online attacks? What do you have to say? Do you condone him beating up a woman on the world stage?

@BrianTimmytron6 @PaulieM80 He knew what he was doing. He knew the Cork player was there and going for the ball does not give Hayes the licence to cut across him. It was cynical and nasty

@glex9 @dafifthofficial Lol come on. When has hitting a hurley ever even been a free? Cork man did the exact same in 2nd half and no free was given (rightly so)

@DLynchSport From the still picture the defender's 2 arms is around the attacker. A clear foul for the attacker, yet this should be seen in real play to give the full picture. The attacker is just trying to get free. Unfortunately it isn't called enough in football or Hurling.

Very disappointing night in the gaelic grounds no point in saying otherwise limerick full value for their 8point win, I knows it's only league and early in the season but it's ominous how good they looked... Kiely loves putting us in our box when we visit limerick

@glex9 @pgal10 @SportTG4 Playing the ref is part of the game, up to the refs to cop it. Cork not wise to a lot of it. Limerick have been the best at testing a refs tolerance in the last number of years. Deserved win by Limerick. Shut down the Cork delivery in first half so we gained the edge.

The best 35 minutes of sport I’ve seen in a while between Limerick and Cork 1|st half. Intensity through the roof. Competitors everywhere and defensive intensity especially a lesson to defenders in Gaelic football . @SportTG4 . #Limerick #Cork

@adrianweckler Their subs are too high. If they halved the prices I think people would not cancel. There is a genuine cost of living crisis too so TV subs will be one of the first cost cutting measures

Sharp fall in pay TV subscriptions (Sky, Virgin etc) — from 70% to 57%. Netflix etc subscriptions unchanged. Seems like dodgy boxes (400k homes) are now really biting, shrinking the TV industry here m.independent.ie/business/techn…

@glex9 What they mostly invest it in is their mortgage books. About a third in unsecured lending, business and personal, I think. Good interest rates, very good repayment rates.

@Muinchille Plus 170 billion in bank deposits that earn hardly any interest. The Irish banks invest it elsewhere making a killing off the back of Irish residents

@glex9 That was done in the 00s (Cowan or Noonan?). Most Irish people invest via funds they buy through banks; a major fee earner for them. We'd all switch to ETFs in the morning, and the banks know it.

@Muinchille An absolute joke and taxing(CGT) equaties after 8 years! The amount of tax Irish residents pay is robbery. Eg VRT on vehicles. Taxed to death
