the new medication did not work, actually made shit way worse, now I'm trying old faithful prozac. I can't be on this fucking website right now because all it does is waste my time and make me want to kill myself. might check back in once the new pills kick in. maybe not, cheers.

Which isn't to say you can't have your own ideas and put them forward. But yes, you can't come in and reel off a diagnosis and treatment plan and expect to avoid starting with basic principles like 'my head hurts'. It's how we tell the migraines from the brain tumours.

I'm not gonna lie, it is frustrating when you ask a patient what's wrong and they just give you a diagnosis. Like "I have a chest infection".
OK, you're probably right but I need to know your symptoms to see if I agree with that diagnosis. I can't just take your word for it.

Two people who desire one another madly but society's rules keep them apart creates tension that pays off massively when they finally give in.

@goodsuguru The implication that 5 months is too long to wait is extremely rude, but offering to put in work to continue the story is the opposite of instant gratification. The commenter was inspired by the story and they want to share their vision of how it might continue. It's beautiful.

the overconsumption of fic is kind of a problem. instant gratification is making fandom act like insane people all bc they want the itch scratched then and there. writers always do this shit for free too just to get blatantly slapped in their face like this. its awful

They want to create something out of love that takes skill and hard work. Accusing this commenter of that mindset automatically implicates all fanfic authors.

@shrimpyomi I didn't even do it on purpose. Belift has just completely eroded my trust. With the fucked up way they handled HS leaving, there's genuinely no reason to believe I won't wake up tomorrow and hear thar Enhypen just doesn't exist anymore, so staying invested is nearly impossible.

@Mayelytra I have to actively avoid most of the things I enjoy when I'm in a depressive episode because my brain will find a way to recontextualize it as pointless garbage and that filter is hard to rid myself of when I finally do feel better. It can genuinely ruin things for me forever.
