@ashnkrause @ErinWestgate descriptive stats/charts can represent data as is. if responses arent normally distributed, i.e. majority were satisfied, it might be better to reduce it to counts of not satisfied vs satisfied. Neutral can mean didn't understand/don't care/or a midpoint so that's tricky

Hey academic twitter! Question: We are doing an integrative data analysis (specifically- network analysis) across studies. For one scale, we used 5-point in the first study and a 7-point in the rest- how would you recommend accounting for the change in scale?

@ashnkrause @ErinWestgate measuringu.com/convert-point-… linear interpolation is one method. sometimes u can add up items for a more continuous measure if they represent the same univariate latent variable AND have a fairly normal distribution, i.e "overall satisfaction score"
