This strategy is wild. In India, the release of Dhurandhar: The Revenge on JioHotstar is only exclusive for 2 weeks. Then it comes out on Netflix as well. Wonder how much JioHotstar paid for those two weeks.

Knets are calling out Park Haeyoung again for her narrative in her dramas. In Episode 9 of We Are All Trying Here, there’s a scene where Byeon Eunah (the FL) gives Hwang Dongman (the ML) a hug by wrapping him up in her sweater. They have criticized this as infantilization of a capable grown man, most especially seeing he was crouched in a fetal position. Calling the scene, creepy and cringe. They also criticized Eunah dream of becoming a strong mother. Mind you, the context of her dream to be a strong mother comes from the fact that her mother abandoned her as a 9 year old, which traumatized her to the point of her having nosebleeds whenever she’s put in a similar situation. Making her vow that she will be a mother that will never let something like this happen again. In the earlier episodes, they criticized Park Haeyoung for writing female characters that their sole purpose is to be a salvation tool for broken male characters using My Liberation Notes, My Mister and now We Are All trying Here, as proof of her constantly writing women that heal broken men. They said she should quit writing at this point 😭

HOPE is an electrifying and batshit insane theater experience. Like if RRR was on crack cocaine laced with sci-fi and torched with jet fuel. The spectacle is incomprehensible in every way. It’s somehow War of the Worlds, Dune, and Alien wrapped up into one. Loved every second.

The Odyssey was shot in 91 days whereas we have movies that are shot for 300+ days and still not releasing 😕
