Here they are! 🦣🔥"Estelle et Noé à la découverte de la Préhistoire" is released today! The rendering is superb: a hardback cover as solid as a mammoth, and colours as vivid as the paintings in the Chauvet cave! 😁@RBINSmuseum @ULiegeResearch @ULiegeLib millepages.com/catalogue/ouvr…

Last day in @RBINSmuseum collections! Thanks to Curator Annalise Folie, technicians (Cecilia and Julien), Olivier Lambert and @gloppy_returns for their support during my visit. It was a pleasure work here and a challenging time revising Pliocene right whales!

Miocaperea, the only known extinct pigmy right whale 🐋. From Peru but ended up in our collections @SMNStuttgart ...working on a way to make it available to all :) Skull is ~1m long....and yes those are exceptionally preserved baleen racks #FossilFriday #Whale #Pisco #Miocene

So proud: my first children's book on #Prehistory! 🦣
I had the chance to write the 8th volume of Estelle & Noé's adventures, published by #Circonflexe! And superbly illustrated by the illustrator #Camouche! Out on May 10th (only in French for now)!

For this #FossilFriday another #Iguanodon skeleton from the "gisement" at the @RBINSmuseum! This headless specimen is considered as a subadult, and it bears two funny and unusual details!

How were european ecosystems affected by the K/Pg impact? We try to answer the question in a new paper with R. Zambon through the study of plant/insect interactions in the Paleocene flora of Gelinden. #irsnb #uliege #eddylab authors.elsevier.com/c/1gs-j73N~ATzI

The pickled #Vaquita (the smallest living cetacean) at @PaBioUNAM is now one of my all time favorite specimens on exhibit! Sadly, there are very few individuals left, making it one of the rarest, most endangered #cetaceans. #WhaleWednesday

It's been a busy week for the @FossilsH team, but we've managed to squeeze in some 3D scanning of these beautiful Carboniferous crinoids from Richmond, North Yorkshire!
Stay tuned to find out about the international story these specimens have taken!

@Rhinologue and I are back dismounting skeletons at @RBINSmuseum
If you come for a visit, and see a empty structure, sorry about that. We are working hard for a fantastic project with @Val_Fisch and the RBINS staff, close to be finished!
