Secondly, stop romanticizing those factories. By 1983, Nkrumah's state enterprises were structurally dead, buried under mountains of debt, and bleeding the national treasury dry. Selling off those non-performing assets wasn't a choice; it was an economic emergency to stop the bleeding and inject private capital.
