The biggest thing I learned tonight and throughout the last 4-5 days especially…is wow, the Dawgs really did something to Mississippi State fans. Haven’t heard a peep from OU fans, certainly no Texas fans. But 0-6 Miss State fans can’t get Georgia off their mind. Dawgs > Dogs.

What an absolutely unbelievable combined pitching effort from Dylan Vigue and Justin Byrd. I cannot overstate how important it was for us to be able to do that tonight & save Matt Scott, Zach Brown, & Paul Farley for tomorrow. We ain’t dead yet. #godawgs

@GoDawgs_65 @ghostofAsaNewel That wouldn’t shock me. Either Farley or Brown to start with shirt leashes and then turn to Scott to keep him in the role he’s grown comfortable in.

@ghostofAsaNewel @gloryugapodcast I'm no expert but, I'd save Matt for late innings. I'd start Farley and go from there.

@gloryugapodcast I like that. Lujo said on the desk they “just need to play their game and that they didn’t do that in the last game against Oklahoma.” He said “hopefully the fans know that and get behind us tomorrow” I think they come out different tomorrow night.

@pwb204 That was my entire thing with the Tre ejection. It was just such ridiculously selective application of a rule that is never enforced. Rodriguez’s antics are far more egregious and he does it every game.

I’m not saying he should be thrown out, but how is shaking your head, sticking your tongue out and kicking dirt at the pitcher not some sort of taunting given the NCAA’s stickler rules?

@ghostofAsaNewel This is still the same team that scored 24 runs in two games last weekend. Just need to play loose and remember who we are. If I was Wes, I would make them watch both games from the Super tomorrow before the game so they remember what they can do.

@gloryugapodcast Crazy the pitching has come to be the strength. If the bats can just get going a little bit we’re in good shape. Still a fresh Scott tomorrow. I expect him and Joey v tomorrow

With Volchko & Aoki down at least until Thursday, we will see some combo of the 5 other arms that we regularly trust in these (hopefully) next 2 games: -Matt Scott -Dylan Vigue -Justin Byrd -Zach Brown -Paul Farley We’ve got to do whatever it takes to win tonight, but ideally we can throw one of Scott or Vigue & save the other for Wednesday. My guess is we start Scott tonight with Byrd first out of the pen. If we get to Wed. I think we start Vigue then Brown and Farley. Maybe Byrd if he doesn’t get wasted tonight. Find a way to get to Thursday and we will get Volchko back on the mound. Uphill battle, but Aoki and Volchko throwing complete games gives us a chance. #godawgs

@stunnaglockton @ghostofAsaNewel Definitely hoping we get good Dylan tonight. We really need to avoid having to use Scott tonight if we can. Obviously have to do what you have to do to win tonight, but man it would be great to be able to save Scott for a potential game tomorrow.

@gloryugapodcast @ghostofAsaNewel If Wes doesn’t like what he sees, he can always pivot to Scott, hopefully we see early season Vigue and that won’t happen

@CDWright1996 @ghostofAsaNewel Vigue it is! I do like guys staying in the roles they’ve been in all year, I’m just praying the control is there. If it is and that slider is biting, he’s very good.

@gloryugapodcast @ghostofAsaNewel Yeah I’m aware, his MSU appearance was solid or better tbf. Scott has been very good out of the pen. I’d feel better if we started vigue and he struggles like he has and go to Scott. Versus going to Scott who struggled in his few starts this year and having to go to vigue.
