The fire has now been extinguished and recovery is underway

⚠️ Reminder – please do not put batteries in your waste or recycling bins. Our waste crew had a lucky escape today, when they noticed smoke coming from the collection vehicle. @Glosfire attended and said the incident was likely due to a vape or battery being put in a bin.

We are responding to a fire at a commercial property on Hill Street in Lydney. Please avoid the area and find an alternative route due to the road being closed.
We advise residents to keep windows and doors closed due to smoke from the fire.
