The #M5 in #Somerset is closed southbound between J22 #Edithmead and J23 #Puriton due to a traffic collision. All emergency services are on scene dealing. There are currently no delays against expected travel times.

@lock_ange Hello and thank you for your response. We are sorry to hear that your husband has been affected by this incident. Please be aware that current delays are at approx. 5 hours and a further 1 hour minimum on the diversion.

@HighwaysSWEST My husband has been sat on the M5 since 10.30 and is only at sedgemoor! 2.5 hours is not a true reflection at all.

@chr15t Hello, thank you for your message. There is currently no confirmed reopening time unfortunately, it’s not expected to reopen soon. Fuel is being transferred from the damaged tanker to a replacement tanker currently. We will post updates on our page as soon as information 1/2
