@Tharizdun03 there were still lots of moments that preserved that feeling, like tsunade calling sasuke 'the sharingan' because that's all his ACTUAL worth to the village is, and the uchiha massacre reveal ofc, but like you keep pointing out...
THE UCHIHA CLAN TAKING OVER THE VILLAGE IS WHAT YOU GOT FROM THAT STORY, NARUTO??? is that REALLY the FIRST thing that comes to mind??? not the generations of discrimination, not the government conspiracy, not the genocide, but what the VICTIMS were planning to do???
@Tharizdun03 he's literally saying 'since they finally started treating me nicely ill just forever be that version of myself so they dont go back to hating me! yay, everything solved!' like it's just so saaad, very dictatorship victim mindset that he never grows out of
dark naruto: “the villagers shunned me all my life, and now they love me because i saved them. it’s fake.” naruto: “easy fix: i’ll become exactly who they want me to be so they’ll keep loving me.” then he hugs his dark self, it dissolves, and that’s apparently the end of that lol
@Kavehswingman (although tbh i think it's less character growth and more the recent genshin trend of erasing ALL possible conflict between EVERY single character)
@Kavehswingman yeah kaveh's hangout showed us that finding solutions for his immediate issues/reassuring him is FAR more productive than just letting him be angry... at least alhaitham's writing evolved somewhat to make him more understanding lately
I obviously looooove Alhaitham to bits, but his behavior IS sometimes very rude & obnoxious. Autism may explain it to some extent but it’s not an excuse. Being unapologetically obnoxious & triggering someone’s anger on purpose isn’t a good trait.
