Just applied to contribute to this R&D with my background and @glue_fi The @etheconomiczone is be one of the most critical missing pieces for DeFi to actually function as DeFi, and here’s why: Since L2s took over, we got some very unexpected problems that are silently blocking DeFi innovation. Every app started deploying on each L2 as an isolated silo with no real interoperability between apps on different layers. This empowered routers for cross-layer trades that introduced a new point of failure in DeFi that almost nobody talks about. On top of that, there’s a massive data problem, something as fundamental as knowing the real total supply of an asset across layers, not just what’s minted on one, is still unsolved. And of course, liquidity fragmentation makes it all worse. Solving these issues is fundamental. Most “DeFi” today is just decentralized apps talking to each other through centralized plumbing, that’s not DeFi, that’s Web2 with a blockchain underneath. L2s pretty much killed DeFi Lego. We need the EEZ to bring it back.
