gm is one of my favorite things about web3 culture. for the longest time i didn't get it, but i really understand it now as a way to show people that you’re still there and that the people reading it are not alone, good times or bad, web3 or not. gm

When we first started fundraising for @vbagame, an investor (5 min into the call) told me straight up “I don’t think this is going to be very fun”. A week ago we launched. I wanted to share this story for 3 reasons:

3/ Only time will tell, and so to the VBA community: Our goal and priority is to make this the most fun experience for hoops degens. Let’s do this.

2/ In order to succeed in gaming, the game fundamentally needs to be fun. In blockchain gaming, making money is fun, but it does not mean the game is fun. There is a difference and we are very aware of this.

6 months ago, the VBA was just an idea in a Google doc. Today, season0 for @vbagame is live! To the team, community, advisors and investors: thank you so much for your hard work, passion, and support. The VBA would not be possible without all of you. The best is yet to come.

"Delivering #value for holders" and "building a strong #community" are not visions, they're hopes. Just dropped half of my #SolanaNFT watchlist due to this alone. Idk the first thing about building an NFT community, but I know we've got to be more thoughtful than this.
