Our latest work on comparing the IR behavior of no-boundary and dS wave function at one loop. After a heavy computation the leading behavior is seen to be same. Work is however technically involved. arxiv.org/abs/2604.21736

Meet Deepak Dhar ! (Legendary theoretical Physicist from India) First Indian to Win Boltzmann Medal (Highest recognition in statistical physics) > Born & Brought up in Uttar Pradesh > Graduated from University of Allahabad > Completed his Master’s from IIT Kanpur > Pursued his PhD at California Institute of Technology > Spent decades at Tata Institute of Fundamental Research shaping modern statistical physics > Made foundational contributions to fractals, stochastic processes & critical phenomena > Explained how complex systems naturally evolve to critical states > Post retirement he served as Distinguished Prof at Institute of Science Education and Research Pune > Awarded Padma Bhushan by Government of India in 2023 for his contribution in Physics Currently as Distinguished Professor at ICTS-TIFR. He is Still pushing the frontiers of complexity and randomness. Not widely known to the public. But deeply respected in the world of Physics.

Chinese President Jiang Zemin Taught Limits Using Zhuangzi’s One-Foot Rod. In November 2001, then Chinese President Jiang Zemin visited Beijing University of Technology. During an impromptu stop in a calculus class discussing derivatives, he picked up chalk and wrote on the blackboard: Zhuangzi said: "A one-foot hammer (or rod), take half of it each day, and it will never be exhausted through eternity." (一尺之棰,日取其半,万世不竭。) He then wrote a mathematical formula to precisely capture its meaning, explaining: "This is our ancestors' extremely important idea of limits." This ancient paradox from Zhuangzi's "Tianxia" chapter beautifully illustrates the concept of infinite division and the limit approaching zero — a profound insight predating modern calculus by over two millennia.

A single adult child taking care of elderly infirm parents is stressful. A single adult child having married another single child, and now having to take of 4 elderly infirm parents is stress times double. The adult couple tries to manage their jobs, their own kids well-being, household chores, the innumerable hospital visits of their elderly parents....their own mental and physical health goes for a toss. Similar is the case when one sibling goes abroad and the other sibling is left to take care of the elderly parents. The abroad child usually helps financially. But the physical stress and strain falls on the adult child staying back in India. Not discussing which is correct and which is wrong....all these are complex family dynamics and each family is different. Majority of adults in India still genuinely care for their elderly parents and in-laws. Perhaps, all that the adult child just needs is a kind word, a compassionate acknowledgement of all the hardwork that he/she is voluntarily and willfully undertaking. My pranaams to all such adult children. 🙏🏼 #ElderlyCare
