Since the subreddit's moderators posted Reddit's warning, multiple users on the subreddit have put up posts naming the alleged whistleblower to implicitly or explicitly attack Reddit. The subreddit's Twitter account -- run by the moderators -- also criticized the warning.

Reddit has sent an official warning to the moderators of The Donald subreddit of "further consequences" to the subreddit (which has been quarantined since June) if users there continue to target the alleged whistleblower.

@getongab Is gab's goal is to be just another partisan platform now? Just for the other side?

@Libercon2016 You could rearrange the same network as nab into a more twitter like presentation. You see this happen with the steem network and different frontends. I've always liked the threaded forum format, reddit was open source but has stopped updated I wanted to revive it

Seems like there's a larger market for this application, it's a shorter putt technically speaking, and you could use it as a spring board for a larger site.

@go1dfish why not instead of a distributed reddit clone (which is great, BTW), you make a decentralized Twitter? I'm not a techy, but couldn't it be peer to peer like torrent based, a log of my posts downloaded and distributed by followers. Maybe use PoW for indexing and search.

@KimDotcom I’ve been building a decentralized Reddit alternative at notabug.io twitters model is much more limited and could easily be doable over the same protocol

The fallout for Twitter is just beginning. Launching a real Twitter competitor with innovations that empower the user and protect free speech would be a big hit. Everything I ever created had over 100 million users. This could launch in a year. It’s a no-brainer. Want to invest?

@jasonbaumgartne It's hard to understate the degree of hatred r/politics has for any right leaning political thought. I'd be curious to see a similar analysis for r/libertarian
