@JamesDixonBooks If a budding journalist shows genuine interest, we would - and do - support them - whether that’s through an experience akin to this or alternative means. We had three paid work placement ops this year and did multiple schools visits to chat on routes into industry for eg.

Is any youngster who can't purchase this package going to be offered the exact same experience in the 2025 season? If so, how many? How will they be chosen?

I’m happy to chat about how we’ve extended our reach into these communities if that’s of interest to you - as well as the work the Trust does.

@TrentBridge @OfficialTBCT @John_Pye Opportunities like this should be for bright kids from disadvantaged backgrounds and give them a leg up into journalism, once a real meritocratic non-university career, which has become an increasingly upper middle class profession & things like 'cash for access' perpetuate that.

@JamesDixonBooks James - with respect, this is merely one chance to experience ‘a day in the life’ to raise money for the Trust which, incidentally, has the aim of doing exactly that which you reference: provide opportunities for those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
