At this point I no longer know why I pay for Twitter. - tonne of ads even on premium - do not see what people I follow tweet - people who follow me either do not see me or aren’t interested in what I have to say - notifications and website/PWA broken for years - slop and rage everywhere - when I see comments from people I follow it’s rage reaction - people now tweet in their own language but auto-translate often does not work for comments - always see the same 200 ish accounts - people post for interactions under their stuff, not to interact Might once again have to reconsider how much time I want to waste here.

I know, because I'm updating one for Yii2, but such a giant company, and a developer working for it, can't make rookie mistakes. The work machines are supposed to be delivered configured and you shouldn't be able to change the environment; those policies are centralized by the company.

It’s amazing watching people say “GitHub got hacked” when the reality is an employee installed a malicious VSCode extension. That’s basically the corporate version of clicking a spam email link. At some point we need to ask: is this really “hacking” or just catastrophic operational security failure? 🤷‍♂️

@godlike Well, you have to be an idiot to install something without checking it. It reminds me of the "don't insert the USB drive" policy; that's why removable drive policies were created. It seems that more than a hack, it's a human error.

AI is so cool, really, it helped me so much in recent times with delivering things that I would have worked on much, much longer without it. But it is also so frustrating when it wastes your time by suggesting things that are completely wrong 🙈😭🤦‍♂️.

For my project I have this voting system to prioritize features. Every two years, someone reinvents democracy by spamming "+1" in the comments and people follow. I think I've empirically discovered why democracy doesn't work.
