Spent some more time on Roblox to figure out what game to make.
I don't wanna make just any game idea, I want to make something that Roblox players would want to play, and spend on.
So I dug through Roblox statistics to find out the top earning games - I found them - I played some of them - and this is the first time in my life that I've ever felt OLD. I didn't understand whatever the fuck these games were about.
But here's the kicker: the top earning game in Roblox is the same as the top earning game on all platform since ages - an FPS (First person shooter) - "Roblox Rivals" (think counter strike).
I learnt that the top games on Roblox are very competitive, and based on Skillmaxxing. And the spends are majorly on cosmetics as expected.
In the meanwhile, my neurons triggers a connection to a game me and my friends would play competitively all day long, 20 years ago, in local game parlours - "San Francisco Rush 2049"
So I'm gonna make a game inspired by the intersection of Rivals and Rush 2049.

Finally spent some time on Roblox.
Looks like the majority of the world is still sleeping on it, just like I was.
Apparently, Top creators averaged $1.3 million last year, and that's already grown by 50% this year.
Game Idea -> Player Feedback seems to be insanely fast.
- Discovery is inbuilt.
- There's a game engine with pre configured physics and networking.
- One click publish, zero app stores' BS.
But the catch is that it takes 70% of the cut.
Which seems like a fair tradeoff for the distribution it offers.
I'm gonna make a Roblox game and get in deeper.
