LN Historian try to talk about Mushoku Tensei without bringing up RZ or LOTM challenge

After doing some spot checks, I am fairly sure the translation is a combination of MTL using something like DeepL with its in-app editing and HTL or heavily edited MTL for others. I don't think something like GPT/Grok was used after running a few lines; I couldn't get anything to match up well enough without major editing.

@aeolian550 @TrueBendi This issue is because arc 5/6 was done before we settled on a more standard format; everything after arc 6 uses our published style/format.

@TrueBendi i disagree. the web novel translation is unprofessional in some ways but has a strong identity. there are lapses in quality, like the ram named chapter which reads like a thesaurus was used for every other word, but compared to other web novel TLs it's on another level of quality

really sucks how there's no perfect way to experience RZ. the LN is the canon story but is riddled with mistranslations and has shit prose. the web novel fixes these but is a draft and inferior to the ln in some scenes, yet superior in others. we need some kinda master version

2026 is a big year for both Re:Zero and Mushoku Tensei!! So to celebrate this year, I'd like to have an early start by launching this art contest!! the title of the contest is "Re:Tensei" With a great banner drawn by @Someone199912 THIS WILL BE A LENGTHY POST, PLEASE READ!! This comes with a very simple theme, crossover of the two worlds!! You can depict this by drawing each cast in their respective worlds. Or you can mix and match locales, chars and more!! One important detail is this though, entries WILL REQUIRE 1 CHAR EACH AT MINIMUM FROM THEIR RESPECTIVE SERIES. YOUR ENTRY WILL BE DENIED IF YOU DRAW ONLY 1 CHAR. The duration of this contest is from December 1st to April 1st. 4 Months!! This is to give artists more time and to coincide with the start of S4 for Re:Zero Please not like every other contest I've run now. It ends the moment it turns April 1st everywhere in the world. if you have anymore questions about the theme or rules please dm me or ask in my Discord server. Link in my bio. I can give you a yes or no if something is allowed. I cannot however tell you what to draw. Rules include SFW only, can be lewd on the level of official art for either series but no NSFW at all. NO AI AT ALL Please have WIPs or a timelapse to show your work. The art will be judged by the simple aspects of -Technical Skill -Originality -Application of theme I will not reveal who is competing for obvious reasons but if the artists involved want to talk about it go ahead. please avoid publishing your full works until the deadline just like before. If you upload a copy without watermarks or glazing for us to judge and then one with it applied, I will upload the one with the watermarks and glazing in the winners post if you do win. @goldkills Ratio hurts? But notice how you make stuff up and didn't respond to anyone criticizing you and your takes,direction is great it doesn't just look "pretty" hope you enjoy your cents for the engagement you are getting,however you should seriously get better in understanding graphs.

@goldkills we know you are a mushoku fan, shut the fuck up already you are embarassing yourself😭 How did you even enjoy the slop that is mushoku s2? downgraded animation,mid direction and absolute butchering of the last episodes, did you only care about the pretty hydra fight?

@D1mas0k The issue is people just glazing "peak" action scenes but ignoring that key character scenes were cut and given the trend here more will be.

@goldkills Maybe I'm biased with Beatrice but this cut hurts. I'm still grieving about Great Rabbit fight,it could be glorious and instead we go what we got. It feels like I'm alone who is angry at this

This is quite literally my favorite scene in the arc, you can't hate Shinohara or Gaku enough for the BS they have done.
