I have never spent this much money on myself in my adult life and it feels weird but I work hard and I deserve to have a new PC after limping along my old dell PC for the last ten years

@horsepower 9950 is not worth for the price honestly, 7800x3d plays 99%of games on 1080 240hz and is a fraction of the price i just got one before the prices went up

Was thinking of doing the 9950X3D, and then a 5090 or wait for 6080/6090, etc. Focus would be to be able to take advantage of my current monitor (4K 240hz / 1080p 480hz) for the next 5+ years and also for streaming and productivity n etc. My current PC is crying at 4K. And also all white components because I like all white PCs.

I can’t believe that the very PC I planned on building this year would now cost me around $7,000 with the current state of DDR5, SSDs, and GPUs. In no world could I ever justify dropping that much on a computer. My I9-13900k + RTX 3080 TI will have to last a few more years…
