@VFleischfresser My son played the recorder when young, moved up to an oboe and went to university to do music. His thoughts changed and he came out with a degree in philosophy. Amazingly this has worked perfectly in his job managing foreign exchange in bank. He still loves going to music events.

Music does that.

@VFleischfresser I agree entirely, I played a violin and then played loads of sport as I grew up to get a degree in chemistry only to spend my life working as an accountant and loving music, have been in a choir 35 years!

Music can make all the difference.

@VFleischfresser Agree 100%, At primary school I was given a violin and have loved music for nearly 70 years. It is not necessarily how well you do as how it introduces you to music, now getting ready to sing in 2 concerts before Christmas.

@VFleischfresser Yes, my love of music goes back nearly 70 years. Even now at choir rehearsals I tell singers close to me to tell me if I am enjoying singing too much!

@VFleischfresser I agree 100%, nearly 75 yet still am so pleased to go to Phoenix Singers, Leek our musical director,Ashley Thompson, the perfect teacher. Ashley could have been at a higher level playing piano/organ, composing/ arranging music or MD but for 25 years has helped others enjoy music.

You give them music and so much more.

@HibbsA Road now open after loads of trees cut down and removed. Had to be done after tree down last year and others diseased. Hopefully not many branches will be blown onto road as happened for many years.
