KelpDAO has recovered $200M out of the stolen $291M.
Protocols are actively coordinating funds and infra support to bail out @KelpDAO.
A parallel example is how @tether previously stepped in to assist @DriftProtocol with $127.5M.
The @arbitrum security council froze 30,766 ETH, bringing total recoveries to 73,700+ ETH.
Against an 89,500 ETH shortfall, over half is now covered but not fully resolved.
So far, confirmed and publicly proposed commitments total around 43,000–43,500 ETH, including:
> @Mantle_Official treasury loan proposal to Aave DAO → 30,000 ETH
> @ether_fi contribution to relief pool → 5,000 ETH
> @StaniKulechov personal commitment → 5,000 ETH
> @LidoFinance (conditional on full funding package) → up to 2,500 stETH ($5.7–5.8M)
> @GolemFoundation & @golemproject joint contribution → 1,000 ETH
Beyond these, several protocols have also signalled participation without disclosing amounts yet:
> @ethena → committed to coordinated relief support
> @LayerZero_Core → ecosystem support commitment
> @inkfndhq → pledged support (amount undisclosed)
> @tydrohq → pledged support (amount undisclosed)
> @fraxfinance → pledged support (amount undisclosed)
This is one of the clearest signals yet of DeFi protocols coming together to push back on attacks like this.

Kelp and @aave have been working closely with ecosystem partners since April 18 to coordinate a recovery effort for rsETH holders. We want to share some factual statements about where we are, progress made, and the next steps. @ether_fi @ethena @LidoFinance @golemproject @inkfndhq @tydrohq @Mantle_Official @fraxfinance and layerzero have each committed in best capacity. We greatly appreciate their contributions. More announcements to follow. The initial shortfall from the incident was 163,200 ETH. Kelp recovered 40,300 rsETH (~43,000 ETH), while the @arbitrum Security Council secured another 30,700 ETH. Following these recoveries, the remaining shortfall stands at approximately 89,500 ETH. Of that remaining gap, confirmed public commitments from Mantle, Stani, EtherFi, Lido, Golem total 43,500 ETH. Kelp has been in direct conversations with partners in this effort to formalize the contributions. rsETH holders come first, and that’s been our priority since day 1. We will continue sharing updates as further commitments are confirmed. DeFi United.

Following this week's rsETH incident involving @KelpDAO and @LayerZero_Core, a proposal has been put forward for Mantle to contribute a loan facility to @aave's coordinated relief effort.
The loan would form part of a wider coordinated framework, structured to minimize disruption across the broader ecosystem and contribute to a measured path forward for users affected.

Great to see the ecosystem step up and help make users whole after a (preventable) hack. But why can't the ecosystem fully fund critical public goods?

A proposal for Lido DAO to contribute to @aave’s coordinated rsETH relief effort has landed on the Research Forum following this week’s Kelp's rsETH LayerZero bridge exploit.
The proposal authorizes a one-time, capped contribution of up to 2,500 stETH to a dedicated relief vehicle, solely as part of a fully funded recovery package. The proposal is designed to reduce broader ecosystem spillover and support an orderly resolution for affected users.
