Fuel protest spokesperson: "Nobody knows what the plan is... this protest is out of my hands". ⛽🚫Have the fuel protests gotten out of control? Anton speaks with John Dallon, Kildare farmer and protest spokesperson.

@MAGAVoice Ireland is having protest sover the price of fuel, which the USA actions in the Middle East caused them to skyrocket in Europe. Liars on X are trying to make this something it is not.

@Greengiggles420 @Inevitablewest Listen, you government gimp, blocking a road is by definition a peaceful protest. The war in Iran has merely highlighted how overtaxed we are. Trump didn't impose carbon taxes, it wasn't the orange man that put nearly 60% taxe on fuel.

@TRobinsonNewEra Why call it a fuel protest? These protests are about the destruction of the Irish country, not just fuel

We have been inundated with people thanking Aontú for the work we have down. No need. It's what we were elected to do. It is not over. Help us challenge this government in every ballot box across the country. aontu.ie/join-us/

They keep telling people the real outrage is that ordinary life was disrupted by protest. But where was that concern when ordinary life was being crushed anyway? What about the family who cannot afford the fuel to get to work next week? The small business already on the edge? The worker watching wages vanish into tax, rent, food, electricity and the pump before they have even lived? What about the hospital visit missed, the rent unpaid, the final straw that pushes a person from stress into despair? This is not just an Irish issue. It is a warning to the whole world. When fuel, energy and transport costs are pushed higher, everything follows: food, deliveries, farming, medicine, heating, livelihoods. The burden falls first on ordinary people, not the powerful. And when governments answer with token gestures while still taking more at every turn, they are not solving a crisis. They are managing anger. The double standard is glaring. Disruption is condemned when people protest for survival, but tolerated when policy decisions destroy businesses, isolate families, and leave people wondering how they will make it to next week. Harm does not become acceptable just because it comes stamped with official approval. This crisis has to be seen in the proper perspective. It is not about traffic alone. It is about human lives, dignity, and whether governments still understand the breaking point of the people they are supposed to serve. In Ireland and far beyond, people are being squeezed to the edge while being told to stay quiet, be patient, and accept less. They should not.
