And still I am compelled to justify the back up meal by specifying the pancakes had protein and there was fruit. I don’t know why I am still doing this over explaining. Years of hypercriticism really did a number.

Tonight I tried a new recipe and it turned out way too salty. The kids opted for microwavable protein pancakes and fruit. Watching the microwave, I had an overwhelming feeling of failure. The negative voice got me. But I noticed and I fought it. Dinner was salty. Oh fucking well!

Augusta Diaries (miscellaneous) -Their tournament scorecard is very old school. The ones the pgatour uses are a bit thicker and have some strength to it. The masters scorecards are a bit whippy or not as stiff in a way. If it got any wet, feel like they wouldn’t last well haha -The pinsheet shows only 2nd shot angles into par 5s and because the angles can be so different for ur 3rd, you have to do some math for the pin. -Their tournament yardage books aren’t nearly as detailed as our every week tour book. No number for the up/down slope on our second shots, not as much green detail, no pictures for the sight lines off the tee. -No level allowed on the putting green or anything that can be used to measure greens. I kind of liked it. All feel. -At the practice chipping area, there are these pot holes just the right size for those big jumbo baskets of golf balls so you only see grass and easier for the volunteers as well to collect golf balls. No one can see them unless you get really close -Once sand gets on the greens on the practice chipping green, the staff have those flippy sand whips to knock the sand off the greens as soon as sand builds up. -Two players share lockers together, and we’re just using actual members’ lockers for the week. There were two names on there that I won’t share. -I didn’t buy a gnome 🤷🏻‍♂️ sorry, wasn’t that interested. -I did buy some gear to giveaway… will do that when I go home and have some time. -Georgia peach ice cream sandwich… 6.5/10 I liked the taste of it but tasted more like vanilla than peach. More peach and it would have been 8.5/10 -To end on a positive note. I’ll forever remember actually hitting the shots that I have dreamt since watching the masters as a kid. I got to live my childhood dreams last week and I can’t explain how cool that felt. Thank you to Augusta National Golf Club and all their members.
