Dear AOFverse players, We apologize for the recent NFT events that have garnered attention. Here is a review of the events to explain the whole story. @AOTactics is the first game in @AOFverse mobile game Metaverse. To show appreciation for our game players long-standing support, our marketing team initiated a free mint NFT event on November 28, 2023. Due to the challenges in planning and executing the entire event, we decided to work with an outsourcing team. We prepared a whitelist of 2000 free mint Fortune Founder’s keys for our OG players and community collaborators, reserving the remaining 222 NFTs for further community events. The NFTs can be used to claim airdrops and receive other benefits, such as reward boost and beta testing of our second game @AOFortunegame. The event was highly popular, while many OG players encountered difficulty in securing a spot on the whitelist. After minting, the NFT prices surged, reaching over 2 ETH each and the highest got traded at 10ETH. As NFTs were originally free, we were not prepared for such speculative activity. In this event, we have only received around 8 ETH as royalty fee as Blur does not mandate a royalty fee. We have been discussing the $AFG airdrop plan with our partners and community. In the days leading up to the TGE, we received a proposal demanding a total of 10 million AFG and a 10% TGE unlock, which we declined. Later, a new proposal was received, suggesting a 3-month cliff followed by a 15% unlock, then 5% monthly. We agreed and made an announcement. On the night before the TGE, some prominent holders asked for an airdrop plan of 50 million AFG with 20% unlocked at TGE. This could be unfair for the other 90% of OG players who have been playing the game for more than half a year but were not able to get a spot in the NFT whitelist. After our refusal, the NFT market crashed and FUD occurred. We sincerely apologize for any losses incurred by major holders, who are also victims. We will continue to communicate with the broader community regarding the AFG airdrop plan that can be accepted by NFT holders and our community but does not harm the game development in the long term. It is our first step to mass adopt billions of Web2 players into Web3 space. A decade ago, our core team members were contributors to Clash of Clans that has brought onboard over one billion players to mobile games. We have a great opportunity to bring another one billion Web2 players to Web3 if we continuously develop high quality mobile games that can be played for decades in the Web3 space.
