I don’t think Jamaicans realize how lucky we were that Melissa was tracking so far south of us while moving east to west. By the time she turned & passed north, she had weakened to a Category 4, but her southern side hit southeast Jamaica, which is why Tuesday night was so rough.

I'm forced to believe hurricane melissa was man made.. I've never witnessed an hurricane so questionable..

As of the 10 PM update from the hurricane center, Major Hurricane Melissa still has maximum sustained winds of 145 mph. She is still moving slowly toward the west at 5 mph and remains on track to make landfall in Jamaica on Tuesday.
