I look at a pic, I remember the person. Body gone, person gone. No longer found. Spirit is alive in Jesus. So hard to comprehend.....

There are times in your life when God needs to show you again who you are because you have forgotten. God needs to show you what you're capable of because you have talked yourself out of it.

Some days have memories attached to them that are so strong the only thing to strive for is to survive the day.

@stevenfurtick The woman might not have been a whore. Her husbands could have died, divorced her, or left her for other reasons. She might have been barren, leading to multiple marriages through no fault of her own. That culture was vastly different from ours.

I had a heart attack 2 wks ago. Of all those who showed concern and offered care not one of them came from my old church nor one from my new. I guess they're all too busy preparing for their Xmas shows, err, I mean sermons. Church going "Christians" know not the meaning. #SBCtoo

@sarahk330 Exactly. He has same attitude towards me. Took me a long time to understand it. I thought I was unworthy of speaking of Jesus, but it was a control and power issue. Just like abuse.

@goofi2003 Right?! And how typical and vile that he tries to blame his wife. I'm sure her "mental problems" had everything to do with living under the control of such an authoritarian abuser.

This man used to be a pastor at my former church. He's of the John MacArthur, uber patriarchal, counseling abused women to stay in their marriages ilk. Not at all surprised. But so sad for what his wife & children have had to endure. May these wolves continue to be exposed.

@sarahk330 OH MY GOSH! This man told me I would hurt the congregation if I spoke of how God saved me when I was dying as a baby through a dream to my uncle! He knew it was true. Even if she was having mental problems, abuse is not the answer. So thankful God told me to leave that church

Sometimes I wonder if, after death, deceased loved ones come to understand why people behaved the way they did and how they might have helped in ways they couldn’t figure out while they were alive.
