Hello my friends,
This is my beautiful 13-year-old sister, Zîn. She has had cerebral palsy since birth. I pray to Allah to grant her health and healing. This war has been extremely difficult for her, and we, the young ones, are very exhausted and sometimes hopeless, while her condition is even harder. We are trying to protect her health and ensure she is always well, doing our best to prevent her from being affected by poor nutrition.
During displacement, Zîn suffered the most and requires special care. We are from Beit Hanun in the northern part of Gaza, and constantly moving has made things even more difficult. Zîn needs continuous muscle relaxant treatment, diapers, proper nutrition, and physiotherapy sessions at a specialized doctor to prevent her legs from stiffening. These costs are very high for us, especially since we have had to move for the past two years and have lost our income.

Ruby, our 9-year-old ground hornbill, loves to go on adventures with her care team around zoo grounds! Although she can fly, ground hornbills spend most of their time walking while looking for food. They are very vocal, using their wattles to make loud calls. #LoveHornbillsDay
