A PICTURE WORTH A THOUSAND WORDS. Team USA honored Johnny Gaudreau by bringing his 2 kids out to the ice and holding his jersey up for a picture after winning the God Medal. Johnny and his brother Matthew were killed by a drunk driver in 2024, which kept him off the ice today. What an incredible tribute that his family will never forget. This is BIGGER THAN HOCKEY.

@TrustTrost IHSA? Common sense? NEVER! It's one stupid decision after another! Good on the GHSF for not suspending 34 players after realizing that team was in a no win situation after getting 2 teammates assaulted.

This honest response of admitting “inconsistency” deserves kudos. This truly deserves praise, because it’s not easy - at times - for adult school leaders to do this. Video surfaced of an August high school football game in Georgia, which I shared earlier on my feed, showing players rushing the field and the game being called. A mere seven players were suspended for rushing the field. If you’ve been following the situation with the Georgia High School football playoffs, the Georgia High School Association did what was right today with this decision. It’s something I’ve consistently pounded on with the IHSA and its cherry-picking ways. The latest example is what’s happening in Illinois this week with high school football games taking place after the conclusion of the pre-approved season limits voted on. If this wasn’t IHSA football games, these games wouldn’t be allowed to take place. You know it, I know it and it’s a prime example of “Do as I say, not as I do.” Everyone wants the kids to play in Illinois this week, but Craig Anderson, his staff and the IHSA board should take a cue from Georgia and at least admit the “inconsistency” of its organization. The only consistent thing about the IHSA is its annual cherry picking. ✅Lemont volleyball ✅Carmel soccer ✅O’Fallon cross-country runner Where are all the people whining about following the rules now?
