Official data from Garissa County reveals a troubling rise in sex-related crimes. Governor Nathif Jama has reported increased cases of gang rape, sodomy, and pedophilia. Hawa Sahal, the County CEC for Gender, noted seven sodomy cases this year alone, with suspicions of many more unreported incidents. Additionally, there are at least 51 active court cases related to rape, sodomy, and gender-based violence, while cases of sexual violence, teenage pregnancies, and new HIV infections are on the rise, as highlighted by County Commissioner Mohamed Mwabudzo.

🚨In Garissa, Kenya a man wearing an Arsenal jersey, attempted to rape a woman outside her gate at 9:15 AM in the morning. The attempted rape captured on CCTV was stopped when a lady, hearing the woman's screams and cries rushed to open the gate. The perpertrator has not been caught yet. 🚨Somali woman murdered in Puntland after hiring hitmen to kill her husbands murderer 1/2 Last night, a targeted killing in Suusacley, claimed the lives of Sacid Gurre, from the Lelkase clan, & Canab Burhan of the Majerteen clan in a brutal act of tribal revenge killing. Sources reveal that Canab-the murder mastermind- whose fiancee was from the marginalized Arab Salah clan was killed last year in Galdogob by Leelkase gunmen.

2/2 Canab was the mastermind behind the ambush with armed men from the Arab Salah clan. Saclid, the intended target who was her taxi driver, belonged to the Leelkase clan and was targeted for that only. In a tragic twist, Canab was also killed in the attack she planned.

Life imitates art🥀💔 Moments before disaster, a young Majeerteen man from Puntland films himself and fellow Puntlanders in a packed rubber boat on their way to Palma, Spain. They wave the Puntland flag, proud of their home state, but not proud enough to live there. Tragically, they never reached Spain safely, where 20 of the 22 Puntlanders on board lost their lives. The youth of Puntland are the poorest, least educated, and most hopeless in all of Somalia. Their leadership has failed them on every level imaginable.
